It had started as a dull throb in his shin and had worsened to the point where he could no longer sleep.
Doctors were baffled and had offered no solution to the pain or any kind of explanation for what was causing it.
Now he was taking matters into his own hands.
He bit into the piece of wood and picked up the saw.
