He looked at his watch.
It should have been here 22 minutes ago and there had been no announcement.
More and more people had joined the platform as the next one would be due in 10 minutes.
The little speaker at the end of the platform crackled and a voice whispered: "no more today."
The waiting passengers looked at each other.
The speaker crackled once more.
"Go home. Leave while you still can," whispered the voice.
