He stood looking down the old cobbled street, hundreds of years of history staring back at him. He wondered which great figures had stood on this exact spot taking in this exact view. Founders of the city, kings, warriors, leaders - they'd all surely stood here at some point.
Would people remember him in the same way? Probably not.
He put on his hard hat and ordered demolition to commence.
