"We need two volunteers."
Nobody moved. Only an idiot would volunteer for this job. They all stared at the ground.
"Come on. This is a great opportunity."
Silence.
They all stood dead still, fearing that the slightest movement would be interpreted as a signal of volunteering.
"Well this is disappointing. Perhaps you all need some time to think?"
The lights were turned out and the men left the room, locking them all in.
