Missing

The poster on the telegraph pole said the cat was missing.
Cats are never missing. Nobody is a cat's master.
What the person who believed themselves to be the cat's owner didn't know was that their cat had gone. For good.
It had parted its fur differently, got some fake travel documents and was now living in Brazil.
