"Oh my God!"
There were screams from many of those who were watching.
The child had fallen into the water and was being scooped out by a gorilla.
Those assembled watched in horror as the gorilla cuddled the child and ran across the enclosure.
"Daddy loves you," shouted his father - doubtlessly of no consolation whatsoever to the panicked child.
A man with a rifle arrived.
"Are you the chld's parents?" he asked.
"Yes," they both said simultaneously.
The man raised the rifle and shot them both between the eyes.
