They'd found it.
After an expedition lasting several months they had arrived at the right spot at the South Pole. Days of digging and scraping had ensued and there before them was something red trapped beneath the ice.
They cleared and cleaned carefully around it.
The leader nodded and the button was pressed.
It was the only way to save humanity.
